Comte de Lauze 2023 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The nose is fruity and offers a certain power, a stretched side and a certain depth. It reveals notes of wild cassis, concentrated cherry and small notes of black pepper, associated with touches of small brilliant red fruits, as well as fine hints of zan, Sichuan pepper, dry olive tree and small dry grove. The palate is fruity, juicy, suave and offers a mineral frame and a slight unctuosity of juiciness and minerality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, bright raspberry and small notes of brilliant red berries, combined with touches of blueberry, as well as a hint of plum blossom, warm local garrigue, balsamic and a hint of black pepper. Fine chewiness and a hint of roasted hazelnut in the background. Tannins are precise and mellow. Good length. Tangy and nicely iodized finish.
