Comte de Lauze 2015 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The nose is aromatic and offers freshness and a fine concentration. It reveals notes of ripe lemon, Granny Smith apple and crushed mirabelle combined with slight notes of quince, pear, flowers, racy minerality as well as subtle touches of oak and almond. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine acidity, a good volume, a good structure, gourmandise, a fine fat as well as a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of ripe Williams pear, apple and quince combined with subtle touches of tangerine zest as well as hints of honey, butter, racy minerality and discreet woody touches.
