The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is toasted, chocolatey and roasted, with savory spicy notes. It expresses aromas of toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, cocoa, roasted bouquet garni, roasted red cherry and dried mint. There are also notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, crushed blueberry and blackcurrant, combined with notes of coffee, liquorice, crushed cardamom, white pepper and brewed tea. The palate is juicy, fresh, with a good bitterness of cranberries and grapefruit. It also expresses notes of tangy strawberry, raspberry, red cherry and blackcurrant, combined with a herbaceous hint (brewed black tea, crushed wild mint), spice (nutmeg, liquorice, cardamom, white pepper), toast (coffee, dark chocolate, toasted almond) and a mineral frame. The finish is tangy and mouthwatering, the tannins are well-structured, tight, but not dry. The persistence is fruity and has a good bitterness.
