Colli di CastelFranci – Alta Valle 2019 – Taurasi DOCG

The nose is powdery, spicy, peppery, frank, bewitching and offers intensity and an airy side at the same time. It reveals notes of Sichuan pepper, cubeb pepper and small notes of spices, associated with touches of dry soil, wild blackberry, wild raspberry and small notes of small wild berries, a discreet floral and incense hint, as well as a subtle hint of olive tree. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers a certain pulpiness and brilliance of fruit, tension, a tangy frame, energy and bite. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, violet plum and small notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, combined with touches of small crushed red fruits, as well as fine hints of spices, zan, local grove/dry local garrigue, Timut pepper and a subtle touch of almost mandarin/blood orange zest in the background. Discreet hints of black chocolate. A lovely silkiness of fruit. Silky, fresh and elegant tannins.
