The wine has a bright ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fruity, gourmand, even slightly sweet, but with delicacy and roundness. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, chocolate morello cherry, ripe red cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant. After aeration, it also expresses aromas of savory spices (roasted cumin seeds, vanilla in the background, even cinnamon, liquorice), cocoa, dried mint, as well as a hint of toasted hazelnut, roasted rosemary and wilted peony in the background. The palate offers a concentrated and juicy fruity substance (morello cherry, ripe red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, crushed strawberry), as well as spicy touches (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper, vanilla in the background), roasted notes (sweet coffee, cocoa, toasted hazelnut), as well as a delicate herbaceous and floral side (tobacco, dried rose). The tannins are fine and powdery, balanced by a salivating acidity. The finish is chiseled, tangy and rather persistent (especially on the notes of red cherry and morello cherry, combined with dark chocolate).
