Clos Saint Sebastien – L’Âme 2022 – AOP Collioure

Clos Saint Sebastien – L’Âme 2022 – AOP Collioure

The nose is intense and offers a good structure and definition. Frank, precise and nicely powerful in finesse grain. We find notes of pulpy peach, crushed white fruit and small notes of juicy mandarin associated with fine hints of apricot as well as small, ripe, juicy yellow fruits. The palate is well-built and offers roundness, fat, a certain unctuousity, gourmandise, a tangy frame, juiciness, a good energy as well as acidity that nicely drive the tasting. Tension and fine straightness. In mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy physalis, bright white peach and small notes of brilliant small yellow fruits associated with touches of ripe Menton lemon, elderflower and lemon blossom as well as fine hints of small crushed fruits, iodine/salt hints, almost « pearly » hints (nacre), delicate buttery hints, even an imperceptible hint of toasted brioche in the background. Well-built. Beautiful controlled power, concentration and elegance.
