Clos Saint Sebastien – L’Âme 2021 – Collioure

Beautiful, elegant, racy and deep nose which offers power, a nice intensity in finesse / delicacy, texture as well as a nice finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe/pulpy white fruits, flint and small notes of small wild fruits associated with touches of pear as well as fine hints of smoke, fresh nutmeg and sense of place (local biotop) / olive tree. The palate is nicely gourmand, juicy, elegant and offers precision, deepness, complexity, a tangy structure, a nice airy side in its matter as well as a nice flint and smoke side. A wine nicely rooted in its terroir. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, ripe/juicy lemon and small notes tangy/juicy physalis associated with touches of sense of place (local biotop) as well as discreet toasted hints and a subtle almost buttery hint. An iodized side. Good length. Beautiful persistence. A subtle and elegant work on good bitterness. A beautiful white wine for aging… It’s smoky, racy and elegant.
