The nose is elegant, fresh and reveals some richness/creaminess with finesse as well as a fine fleshiness. There are notes of fleshy raspberry, boysenberry and more lightly crushed red currant combined with fine touches of violet, bright blue berries, star anise, fine graphite tips and a very discreet hint of nutmeg and almost cinnamon. The palate is fruity, mineral, fresh, elegant and reveals gourmandize, a nice richness, harmony, a nice fleshiness of the fruit as well as a good maturity of the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry and crunchy red berries combined with hints of fresh flowers, fine, almost roasted fruit, a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco and a discreet hint of star anise, spice and positive bitterness (in the background). The tannins are precise and smooth.
