The nose is racy and offers minerality, fullness, fine grain and intensity. There are notes of concentrated wild blackcurrant, wild strawberry and more slightly racy minerality combined with hints of blueberry, fresh pepper and a discreet touch of fresh nutmeg and sense of place (local biotop). The palate is fruity and offers a nice freshness, minerality, a nice terroir aspect (local gravel), straightness as well as some power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, fresh/juicy raspberry and more slightly red berry/currant combined with a fine touch of fresh plum, racy/gravely minerality, a discreet hint of iodine and a subtle touch of fresh blond tobacco and pepper. Nice sapidity on the finish. Appetizing. A fine hint of good bitterness/toast on the finish.
