The nose is ripe and warm. It expresses notes of crunchy blackcurrant, morello cherry, wild strawberry, red currant and raspberry, accompanied by spicy (licorice, black pepper, nutmeg), herbaceous (dried mint, rosemary), floral (cornflower, violet), as well as a mineral, toasted and smoky touch (in the background). On the palate, we find tangy fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry), mint and a slight peppery note, accompanied by notes of liquorice and cornflower. The tannins are rather delicate and fine, very slightly drying (because the wine is en primeur). The acidity is lively and fresh. We feel slight bubbles in the mouth, probably due to the ongoing malolactic fermentation. An accessible and fruity wine for the future.
