Clos La Croix d’Arriailh 2017 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a good definition, gourmandize and generosity. It reveals notes of ripe/juicy cassis, juicy Boysen berry and small notes of crunchy strawberry associated with fine hints of violet, small blue fruits, toasted, a very discreet hint of caramelization and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good juiciness, a juicy/finely acidulous frame and a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, juicy/ripe blackberry and small notes of strawberry associated with a touch of violet, plum as well as very fine hints of caramelization/toasted. Tannins are well-built, racy and structuring.
