The nose is aromatic and offers power, a slight concentration, generosity as well as straightness. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and slight / discreet touches of dried violet combined with a hint of ripe redcurrant, a discreet touch of tobacco as well as an imperceptible touch of gray pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, beautifully elegant, slightly tight and offers a beautiful / fine unctuosity, gourmandise, a fine fleshiness, precision as well as straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis and slight touches of fleshy raspberry associated with slight touches of fleshy redcurrant, terroir / soil as well as discreet touches of mocha, toasted oak and a very discreet touch of almost saline minerality on the finish. Tannins are fine and slightly grainy. Good length.
