Clos du Roy 2020 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a controlled richness, a certain creaminess in balance and gourmandise. It reveals notes of creamy currants, creamy raspberry and slight hints of bright blackberry associated with touches of fleshy/pulpy cherry, lily, saline minerality as well as a hint of fresh vanilla, a very discreet hint of cornflower and an imperceptible hint of fresh blond tobacco. The mouth is fresh, elegant and offers a certain subtlety in its richness, creaminess as well as a sme airy side. On the opalate this wine expresses notes of creamy cassis, bright boysenberry and slight hints of bright cherry associated with a touch of juicy/pulpy strawberry, star anise, cornfloweras well as a subtle hint of almost eucalyptus, bergamot, of camphor, graphite and almost caramelized toast. The tannins are supple and well-developed. Sapidity at the end of the mouth. A good job on the good bitters.
