The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose expresses the fleshiness of ripe, crushed and roasted fruits (morello cherry, red plum, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, roasted red cherry), a touch of red cherry jam, dried cherry with chocolate, as well as the gourmandise of sweet spices (nutmeg, liquorice, clove, a touch of cinnamon) and a light floral and herbaceous touch (peony, iris, rosemary, fresh tobacco). The palate offers precision, straightness and a firm structure, as well as a beautiful sapidity and spiciness. We find notes of nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, associated with notes of wild strawberry, dried red cherry, roasted red cherry, red plum, crushed raspberry, as well as dried mint, rosemary and dried peony, with a touch of cocoa and torrefaction (coffee), which returns on the finish. The tannins are firm, but powdery and fine. Beautiful acidity, good cocoa bitterness, associated with the gourmandise of cherry jam and a racy minerality (limestone) on the persistence in the mouth.
