Clos du Clocher 2022 – Pomerol

The nose offers fruit, intensity, a certain concentration as well as a beautiful deepness. There are notes of concentrated wild cassis, blackberry and small notes of flowers associated with touches of rosewood, Sichuan pepper as well as discreet hints of Bigarreau cherry, infusion, incense and a delicate almost mandarin hint. The palate is lovely built, elegant, airy and offers deepness, juiciness, very nice energy, a chiseled side, a beautiful power (full of precision), finesse as well as a superb silkiness. A beautiful silky texture, fresh, delicate, harmonious and airy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild cassis, juicy/pulpy blackberry and small notes of bigarreau cherry associated with touches of small bright red berries as well as hints of violet, iris, fine hints of pepper, roasting, chocolate and a hint of mandarin leaf. Hint of roasted hazelnut. Good length. Beautiful sapid and deep persistence.
