Beautiful, elegant, spicy and dense nose which offers a certain small fleshiness. It reveals notes of clove, Kampot pepper, nutmeg and small notes of sweet tobacco associated with touches of fig, very ripe blackcurrant as well as fine almost dried apricot hints as well as a subtle almost of warm sap hint and undergrowth. The palate is lovely built, supple, nicely fresh, mellow and offers density, matter as well as a certain verticality/straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe blackcurrant (but still tangy), iodized gravels and small notes of camphor associated with touches of tobacco/tobacco box, cardamom as well as hints of black truffle, toast, date, an almost leather hint as well as a very discreet hint of menthol and balsamic. A subtle acidity and a beautiful chew on the finish/persistence. Beautiful persistence.
