Clos d’Hervé by Beynat 2022 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is beautifully conducted, pure, deep and delicate. A small power. We find notes of bright blackcurrant, shiny cherry and small notes of juicy/fresh small fruits associated with touches of black tea/bergamot, lily and fine and delicate spicy hints. Beautiful silky texture of the nose. The palate is fruity and offers a beautiful freshness, juiciness and energy. The wine needs to be decanted. It is distinguished by extreme precision, a crystalline, silky, fine and delicate side. A beautiful finely stretched side. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackcurrant, bright raspberry and small notes of juicy/acidulous small fruits associated with touches of lily, lilac, fresh tobacco as well as a hint of sweet spices and black tea. Good length. Mellow tannins. Beautiful persistence. It’s marked by the purity and brilliance of the fruit. A vibrant wine, carried by its juicy fruit.
