Clos des Religieuses 2022 – Puisseguin Saint-Emilion

Clos des Religieuses 2022 – Puisseguin Saint-Emilion

The nose reveals fruit aromas, a small power, a fine concentration and a stretched and peppery character. We perceive notes of bright boysenberry, morello cherry and small notes of small shiny black fruits, associated with touches of cornflower, graphite, as well as discreet hints of juicy roasted cherry, clove and pepper. The palate is nicely structured, supple, fresh, tense, with a certain mellowness/pulpiness and a little creaminess. It expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, acidulous violet plum and small notes of small, bright red berries, associated with touches of violet, lily, as well as hints of tobacco, cardamom and a touch of nutmeg. Good length. Tannins are elegant and racy. Nice freshness.
