Clos de Poulettes, « Les Vaucrains » 2022 – Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers gourmandise, juicy fruit and a fine spiciness. It expresses notes of ripe strawberry, crushed raspberry, tart red cherry, red currant, red plum, a touch of cranberries with a slightly bitter aroma, as well as a spicy touch of gray pepper, liquorice, crushed coriander seeds, as well as fine herbaceous notes (dried mint, fresh rosemary) and a floral touch (cornflower, dried rose). The palate is enveloping, gourmand and fruity, with slight notes of sweet spices which return in the finish. It expresses the flavors of tart red cherry, a hint of morello cherry, crushed raspberry, red currant, strawberry and cranberries with a slight bitterness, associated with notes of gray pepper, liquorice, coriander seeds, a touch of dried mint and fresh rosemary, as well as a fine floral bouquet (lilac, cornflower). The tannins are fine and melted, with a powdery and cocoa touch. Nice salivating acidity and good persistence on the palate, with lots of gourmandise.
