(70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is fleshy, juicy and fruity: it expresses notes of black plum, fresh red plum, red plum jam, wild strawberry and morello cherry, associated with a fine floral bouquet (violet, rose petals), with a delicate spiciness (liquorice, gray pepper, a touch of vanilla), a touch of dark chocolate and cocoa, as well as a light note of menthol and torefaction in the background (toasted hazelnut, smoke). The palate offers juiciness, freshness and airiness. The attack is gourmand and expresses the flavors of red cherry in chocolate, black plum, morello cherry and crushed red plum, combined with touches of chocolate with mint, liquorice, toasted hazelnut and vanilla in the background. The finish is persistent and offers good bitterness, a touch of violet, cocoa, as well as a fine touch of prunes in chocolate. The tannins are fine and rather firm, but well integrated. Good acidity and good persistence. A well-constructed, aromatic and straightforward wine.
