Clos Castelot Bussac 2020 – Graves de Vayres

The nose offers gourmandize, a certain power, a fine grain as well as a certain deepness. It reveals notes of blackberry, guinguette strawberry, small notes of small pulpy black fruits associated with touches of kirsch cherry, fresh violet, incense and a discreet hint of pepper (in the background). the mouth is fruity, fresh, mineral, balanced and offers minerality, a juicy/acidulous frame, a small tension, juiciness as well as a fine straightness and density/concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of small black berry, kirsch cherry, small notes of violet associated with touches of tonka bean, crushed raspberry as well as fine hints of chocolate, a subtle hint of tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). Good length. The tannins are finely mellow.
