The nose is fine, aromatic and relatively powerful. It reveals notes of cassis, flowers and Boysenberry combined with discreet touches of red berries, spices and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, racy, well structured, relatively elegant and offers an acid frame as well as a good minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis and slight notes of strawberry associated with touches of red berries, wood, dark chocolate as well as a discreet hint of liquorice, coffee and a (very) slight hint of Ceylon tea. Tannins are fine and (very) slightly young. Good length.
