Clo’ Clotilde Pain, Sans Dessus, Sans Dessous 2020 – Chinon

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration, ripe fruit, as well as fine spicy and floral aromas. We find notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, as well as a sweet touch of wild strawberry, raspberry coulis and crushed red currant, associated with notes of dried mint, licorice, nutmeg, pepper white and blackcurrant leaf, as well as floral notes (violet, wild rose, lily). The palate offers power, well-structured and fine tannins, as well as the roundness of ripe fruits (griotte, blackberry, blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry coulis), a fine floral bouquet (violet, rose, peony), herbaceous ( dried mint, black tea in the background, blackcurrant leaf) and spicy notes (licorice, cumin). The finish is quite persistent, concentrated and fruity, with a touch of chocolate in the background, firm but silky tannins and a nice acidity.
