Clemente VII 2020 – Chianti Classico Riserva

Clemente VII 2020 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. On the nose, it is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses notes of fresh red cherry, raspberry, crushed strawberry, blueberry, as well as liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper, peppermint, fresh bouquet garni, roasted (coffee, toasted almond, dark chocolate) and a hint of violet. The palate is expressive, juicy, with sapidity and pronounced notes of tangy fruits on the attack. We find flavors of tangy red cherry, cranberry, raspberry and blackcurrant, combined with the bitterness and tannic hint of bird cherry, grapefruit and coffee. It also expresses notes of toasted almond, fresh bouquet garni, dark chocolate, as well as liquorice, fresh pine needles and violet. The tannins are robust, well-constructed, and fine-grained. The finish is quite persistent and fresh, with mouthwatering acidity and a good cranberry bitterness.
