Clément & Florian Bertier 2022 – Sancerre

Clément & Florian Bertier 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is concentrated, fruity and slightly roasted. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, as well as black plum, even roasted black plum. There are also floral notes (wild rose, lilac, iris) and herbaceous notes (fresh mint, fresh tobacco), associated with a fine jammy nuance(cherry and blueberry jam), as well as a touch of liquorice and nutmeg. The palate is juicy, precise and lively. It expresses flavors of tart red cherry, fresh red currants, blueberry, blackcurrant and morello cherry, associated with notes of violet, wild rose, licorice and nutmeg. The tannins are finely tight, polished and enveloping, well constructed. The finish is quite persistent, gourmande, tasty and fresh, with a lovely tangy red cherry structure, as well as a peppery and herbaceous touch (dried blackcurrant leaf).
