Ciabot Berton – Rocchettevino 2013 – Barolo 

The nose is racy and offers a fine juiciness. The wine needs to be served in carafe. It reveals notes of fleshy strawberry, blackberry, sweet spices and small notes of small wild berries associated with touches of undergrowth / local forest associated with fine touches of garrigue / grove, racy minerality as well as a very discreet touch of white pepper and licorice. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, suave, harmonious and offers a fine juiciness, a good definition, finesse, minerality, a small tension, a small fat as well as a small freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, juicy cassis and small notes of riper cherry associated with fine touches of small berries, sweet spices, undergrowth / local forest soil as well as fine / discreet touches of almond and an imperceptible touch of gray pepper. Tannins are fine and (very) slightly dry. Good length.
