Churchill’s, Quinta da Gricha 2022 – Vintage Porto

The nose is fruity, fresh, ample, precise and offers a lovely and delicate texture. It reveals notes of boysenberry, cornflower and small notes of fresh flowers / pistil associated with touches of crushed strawberry, hints of jammy small red plum as well as hints of pink pepper, smoke and an almost dry grove hint. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, accuracy, tension, an airy side, complexity in finesse / elegance as well as a beautiful juiciness and acidity. Beautiful gourmandise of the fruit. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of bright red cherry, crushed blackcurrant and small notes of blood orange associated with touches of candied blueberry, hints of star anise, pepper, a hint of black tea as well as a subtle hint of dry grove and toasted / toasted hazelnut. Good length. A Porto full of elegance and balance.
