The nose is fruity and offers a small power, finesse as well as elegance. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, boysenberry and slight notes of ripe / crushed red berries combined with hints of strawberry, toasted oak, sweet spices, a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper as well as a very discreet touch of graphite, violet and chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight mineral frame, a slight acidity, a slight juiciness, a slight suavity, gourmandise, a small tension as well as elegance. On the palate, this Porto expresses notes of juicy blueberry, crushed cassis and fleshy raspberry combined with touches of cherry, liquorice, brown sugar, chocolate as well as a subtle touch of sweet spices, a subtle hint of almond and cardamom. Tannins are fine and a bit tight. The aftertaste is slightly powerful.
