Churchill’s 2019 – LBV Porto

The nose is elegant, fruity and offers an airy power (all in elegance/class) as well as a very fine, airy and powerful grain. There are notes of blueberry, crushed strawberry and blond tobacco associated with fine touches of blackcurrant jam, crushed black plum as well as a hint of crushed fig, pâtisseries, pepper and roasting. The palate is beautifully built, fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, tension, energy, a sustained side (in elegance) as well as a lovely delicacy and elegance. On the palate this Porto wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, bright purple plum and small notes of blueberry jelly associated with touches of crushed strawberry as well as hints of blond tobacco and toasted almond. Tannins are frank and racy. Good length and beautiful persistence. A beautifully fresh, round and well-balanced Port.
