Chrysalis Vineyard – Norton 2021, Locksley Reserve – Virginia

The nose is fruity, precise and offers a certain concentration, width as well as a certain deepness. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, pulpy cherry and small notes of roasted-juicy raspberry associated with touches of almost jammy small red fruits as well as fine hints of lavender, pepper and a very discreet almost balsamic hint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, density, deepness as well as great acidity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, tangy/juicy redcurrants, flowers and small notes of sap associated with touches of dried fig as well as a hint of tobacco, cigar and a subtle hint of sense of the place (local biotope). Good length. Juiciness and brilliance of the fruit.
