The nose is aromatic, toasted and offers power as well as a certain freshness. It reveals notes of blackberry, chocolate and small notes of pulpy strawberry associated with touches of vanilla, ripe redcurrants as well as a fine hint of cornflowers, toasted hazelnut and sweet spices. The palate is aromatic, well-well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, tension, fat as well as roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of toasted oak, hazelnut and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of crushed raspberry as well as small hints of pulpy cherry, vanilla, almond and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). Good length. Currently the wine quite marked by oak ageing but which retains a certain gourmandize.
