The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, spicy and minty at first. It first expresses the aromas of liquorice, fresh vanilla (a delicate touch in the background), nutmeg, dried mint, as well as a hint of toast, which are then completed by notes of morello cherry, red cherry and chocolate, black plum, blackberry and wild strawberry, as well as a hint of thyme and peony in the background. The attack on the palate is also spicy and savoury. It expresses notes of nutmeg, liquorice and a delicate touch of vanilla, combined with flavors of morello cherry, crushed red cherry, blackberry, black plum and blackcurrant, as well as notes of dried mint, thyme and sweet tobacco. The tannins are finely tight, well structured. The finish is lingering, chocolatey and fresh at the same time – it continues with notes of dried mint and mint chocolate. A straight wine, which offers accuracy, straightness and freshness, associated with gourmandise and complexity.
