The nose is fruity, fresh, very discreetly tight and offers a small concentration, a good finesse of the grain. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, fleshy/crushed cassis, small notes of small crushed blue fruits associated with small touches of cornflower, violet liquorice stick, fresh mild tobacco as well as subtle hints of nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of Badiane. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness and gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of an almost iodine hint, bright blackberry, cassis, small notes of pulpy/bright violet plum associated with small touches of juicy/bright raspberry, small blue fruits as well as hints of chocolate, liquorice and very discreet hints of bourbon vanilla (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length. A very discreet hint of grilled, coffee and dark chocolate in the finish/persistence.
