Château Vignelaure – La Source 2011 – Coteaux d’Aix En Provence

The nose is fine as well as relatively elegant and gourmand. It reveals notes of crushed boysenberry and slight notes of ripe raspberry, redcurrant associated with slight hints of toasted/grilled oak, cassis, olive as well as discreet hints of spices and an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, fine, mineral, sleek, ample and offers a good definition, a beautiful freshness, fat, roundness as well as a good volume. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed ripe raspberry, crushed cassis and slight notes of blackberry associated with hints of toasted oak, discreet hints of chocolate as well as an imperceptible hint of pepper and cardamom. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
