Château Vieux Robin 2023 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is reserved. After aeration, it expresses notes of roasted red cherry, morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, wild strawberry and roasted red plum, associated with a toasted and spicy hint (toasted wood, liquorice, toasted hazelnut) and a touch of violet. The palate is airy, fruity. It expresses the flavors of tangy fruits (blackcurrant, red cherry, morello cherry, a hint of raspberry and red plum), woody notes (fresh wood, toasted hazelnut), a touch of liquorice, blackcurrant leaf and violet in the background. The tannins are rough on the finish, balanced by salivating acidity and juiciness. Persistence on the palate is medium, on fruit and freshness, with a herbaceous touch.
