The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a certain intensity, a fine freshness. We find notes of bright boysenberry, strawberry and a bit of violet associated with touches of star anise, bourbon vanilla and discreet hints of nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, finesse, sweetness, acidity, a little tension, minerality and some stretch. On the palate, this wine expresses juicy blackberry, pulpy cherry and, more slightly, violet notes combined with touches of bright berries as well as fine peony, hazelnut, a discreet note of nutmeg and black tea. Good length. Fine chewiness on the finish/persistence.
