Château Vieux Landat 2023 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is fragrant and finely wooded. It expresses notes of fresh wood and a touch of toasted wood, as well as aromas of liquorice, pine needles, a slight sappy hint, associated with aromas of peony, rose, blackcurrant, morello cherry, plum. black, strawberry, raspberry and cumin. The palate is fruity and woody: we find flavors of morello cherry, blackcurrant, strawberry, liquorice, pine needles and toasted wood. The tannins are firm, structured and slightly bitter. Good length on freshness, a herbaceous touch of blackcurrant leaf and tanginess. The tannins are a little rough.
