Château Verrière – Sauvignon Blanc 2023 – Bordeaux Blanc

The nose is discreet and tight, but opens after aeration. It initially expresses notes of lemon zest, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, fresh pineapple, tangy apricot, green apple, green pear and fresh quince, combined with notes of apple blossom and acacia, as well as a touch of cucumber and cut grass in the background. the palate has a round and gourmand attack, with notes of honey, ripe yellow peach and candied lemon. It then expresses notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, green apple, acacia and apple blossom, as well as a hint of lemon cream in the background. The finish is round, oily and gourmet with pronounced honeyed notes. We also smell a touch of roasted apricot and wax and toast in the background. Beautiful roundness and certain richness, quite supple acidity. A concentrated and savoury wine.
