The nose is aromatic and offers fine power and complexity. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of boysenberry, crunchy raspberry and more slightly pulpy red berries combined with hints of sweet spice, nutmeg, crunchy cherry, fine cardamom and a discreet hint of bergamot and vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality and a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh cherry, juicy/fresh raspberry and slightly fresh/crisp blackcurrant notes combined with subtle hints of fresh/crunchy red berries, racy minerality, lily, cardamine as well as discreet hints of fresh clove and bergamot. A subtle hint of toasted hazelnut in the background.
