The nose reveals meaty touches, spices and pepper associated with fine touches of blackberry and cassis. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine juiciness, fat, fullness, a fine tension, a fine unctuosity as well as a small straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, strawberry and more slightly strawberry associated with discreet touches of toasted oak, caramelization as well as very discreet hints of vanilla. Tannins are slightly firm and slightly tight. There is a discreet hint of dark chocolate on the aftertaste.
