Château Valandraud 2024 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1er Grand Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, fruity, deep, well-built, precise, chiselled, airy and fresh, with energy. It presents a beautiful, creamy, fresh and elegant texture, with depth. It reveals notes of creamy cassis, small brilliant red fruits, associated with touches of wild strawberry, touches of small blue fruits, licorice stick, a hint of cocoa and a lovely infusion side. On the palate, the wine is well-built, fruity, elegant and gourmand. It offers a tangy frame, juiciness, suppleness, gourmandise, a lovely chiselled side, brilliance and energy. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, roasted-elegant cherry, and small notes of small bright blue fruits, combined with touches of brilliant raspberry, as well as hints of lilac, chocolate/tonka bean, tobacco, toasted almond and coffee. The nose is nicely aromatic in freshness. Elegant, mellow tannins.
