Château Trotanoy 2020 – Pomerol

On the nose it is elegant, offering a nice power with control, intensity, accuracy, precision, fine sensation, straightforwardness, harmony as well as depth. It reveals the notes of bright blackberry, pulpy/sparkling berries and more lightly pulpy raspberry combined with hints of violet plum, peony, Cuban pepper as well as a subtle hint of bergamot and a very discreet hint of tobacco. On the mouth it is fruity, juicy, suavity, fresh and with a nice definition, gourmandize, a tangy frame, power (in control), accuracy, depth (in control), subtlety in its richness/intensity and beautiful racy grain. The wine express the notes of pulpy/bright blackberry, small juicy/fresh/sparkling black berries and more slightly juicy blue plum associated with touches of cornflower, lilac, camphor, tonka bean as well as hints of toasted almond, fine hints of sweet spices, hazelnut, a very discreet hint of tea and grey pepper (in the background). The tannins are precise, distinguished, structuring and polished. A nice aromatic persistence. A nice bitterness and a subtle floral touch on the finish. A nice/discreet powdery edge on the mouth/persistence.
