Château Tronquoy-Lalande 2021 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fruity, elegant, fresh, beautifully racy and offers delicacy in its velvety, airy and fine floral side. There are notes of fresh blackcurrant, peony and, more slightly, lilac, combined with hints of ripe/pulpy red berries, with fine hints of blueberry, sweet spices, very discreet hints of graphite, smoke and fresh pepper. The palate is fruity, fresh and elegant, revealing crispness, juiciness, a floral character, aromatic purity and a lovely minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, fleshy/juicy cherry and more lightly red berries combined with hints of fresh lily/peony as well as fine graphite, fresh sap and blond/smoked tobacco. The tannins are fine, supple and elegant. Good length.
