The nose is fine and fruity. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of violet, fresh/ripe strawberry, slight hints of blueberry associated with discreet hints of licorice, spices as well as slight notes of racy minerality (terroir) and a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, frank and offers a nice freshness, a nice tension as well as a nice silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh strawberry and raspberry associated with slight hints of ripe/fresh cassis, slight notes of racy minerality, licorice, spices as well as a very slight grilled hint/oak (on the finish/persistence) and a very discreet hint of mocha. Tannins are fine and polished. Good persistence.
