This wine has a medium-pale ruby color with some tile reflections. It is clear and shiny. The first nose is an invitation to walk in a priest’s garden! There are many aromatic herbs such as mint but also rosemary and bay-sage. We also have black fruits like cherry and a hint of peppery rose. In the background we also smell liquorice. The second nose is still fresh with this menthol but also has some depth and sapidity. The attack is fresh, powerful with mint and aromatic herbs. Cherry and strawberry jam are in the background. There is delicacy with a certain roundness, small notes of vanilla and smooth tannins. We find tomato juice which contributes to the sapidity, sandalwood, blond tobacco. The wine has structure, a little alcohol and salivating acidity on the finish. Enough to allow it to last a few more years even if it can be enjoyed now. The finish is long with raspberry and brandied cherry.
