The nose is elegant, fresh, flowery and offers power as well as a nice racy grain. There are notes of cassis, small wild black currants and more slightly licorice associated with touches of blond tobacco, toasted, a fine hint of small red fruits, discreet hints of toast, hazelnut as well as with a subtle hint of place and pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced, elegant, racy and offers crispness, juiciness, volume, nice fruit, nice definition, nice acidulous frame as well as suppleness and delicacy in its power / concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and more slightly cornflowers associated with touches of crushed raspberry, licorice/ zan, toasted almond with fine hints of toasted hazelnut, almond as well as a subtle hint of dark chocolate / cocoa and a discreet hint of sense of place. Tannins are precise, elegant and relatively covering. There is a fine powdery side and a discreet chewiness on the persistence.
