The nose reveals pulpiness and fruit. There are notes of fleshy blackcurrant, fleshy boysenberry and, more slightly, fleshy wild strawberry, combined with hints of violet, lily and fine points of fresh violet plum and a subtle hint of tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, fine fluidity and a mineral backbone. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh cherry, violet/lilac and slightly juicy/fresh berry notes combined with a touch of blackcurrant, racy minerality as well as a subtle hint of nutmeg, almond and a discreet touch of cocoa. The tannins are fine and mellow.
