The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose expresses a hint of maceration at the beginning (stewed red cherry), which is completed by notes of tangy fresh fruits (bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, black plum, crushed blackcurrant and strawberry in the background), sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, cardamom), violet, as well as a very delicate woody (fresh oak) and herbaceous (sweet blond tobacco, wild mint) touch. The palate is enveloping and suave and offers fresh fruity notes (morello cherry, bird cherry, black plum, raspberry, red plum, a bitter touch of cranberries), associated with flavors of sweet spices (liquorice, cardamom, a hint of nutmeg), as well as a floral hint of violet and peony. The tannins are a little grainy and drying on the finish. The finish expresses a salivating acidity and notes of tangy fresh fruits (bigarreau cherry, cranberries).
