The nose is fruity and powerful, a fine intensity, a certain finesse. There are notes of ripe wild blackberry, pulpy/sparkling black berries and, more slightly, bright strawberry, combined with fine hints of violet, nutmeg and a discreet touch of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, a little freshness, a tangy frame as well as straightness, energy, a little tight richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed redcurrant and, more slightly, pulpy/juicy cherry, combined with a touch of violet, lily and hints of fresh/juicy berries, star anise and discreet hints of hazelnut/vanilla. The tannins are racy.
