The nose is fresh and offers some floral expression. It reveals notes of violet, boysenberry and fairly ripe red berries associated with a touch of gray pepper, balsamic as well as a subtle hint of varietal and bergamot. The palate is fruity, discreetly tight and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, energy, a certain accuracy, acidity, tension as well as good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, crunchy berries and slight notes of iris/peony associated with a touch of small red fruits, almost a discreet hint of rootiness as well as a hint of racy minerality and bergamot. The tannins are supple and sapid.
